The Spescom MediaIT ‘In-Service Training’ Programme
The growing problem of skills shortage in the media industry has been addressed in a proactive manner by Spescom MediaIT. The company has embarked on an internship programme aimed at recruiting suitable candidates in their final year at Technikon and training them in practical situations with the mentorship and guidance of the company's highly skilled personnel.
The programme provides young people with the opportunity to acquire the highest standard of skill as repair technicians in the broadcast industry.
The two learners recruited for the programme in 2009 have completed the theoretical components and are currently working towards the practical aspects of their learnerships.
MediaIT will offer permanent employment to trainees who prove themselves exceptional during the course of their internship.
